The Incubator will be the first building in the Park's phased development and will provide a unique opportunity to support business growth from University and Medical sectors and their biomedical research excellence. Aiming to bring together like minded, emerging commercial businesses, it will create a facility for companies to grow on-site, forming a vibrant commercial biomedical cluster.
It is envisaged that the Incubator will include:
- Physical space: a range of flexible units that facilitates growth from initial start-ups
- Infrastructure: high connectivity linked to a service core that provides the requirements to service dry and wet laboratories
- Meeting and conference rooms: a serviced suite of rooms including social interaction rooms
- Support services: to include reception, secretarial, mail, IT support, business development, IP/copy right, funding and grants
- Networking: through academic and research links, UKSPA, promoting international links and staging high profile events
- Business support: links with local businesses, Business Link and Chamber of Commerce to support business ethos and provide links to business development skills and funding sources
